  35.        WorkShop Pro MPF options.

  37.        If you are installing this option for the first time, the
  38.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  39.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  40.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  41.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  42.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  43.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  80.        All of the subsystems for WorkShop Pro MPF can be installed
  81.        using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to
  82.        the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete
  83.        installation instructions.

  85.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  87.        WorkShop Pro MPF has the following prerequisites:

  89.           +o You must be running release IRIX 6.2 or highter to use
  90.             this product, and you must have installed the X11
  91.             Execution environment (_x__e_o_e._s_w) and the Motif
  92.             Execution environment (_m_o_t_i_f__e_o_e._s_w).
  93.  
  94.           +o You must have CaseVision 2.6 or higher installed.
  95.  
  96.           +o You must have an ICCCM compliant window manager
  97.             installed, for example  _4_D_w_m, _m_w_m, or _t_w_m.

  99.           +o You must have WorkShop, release 2.6, or higher
  100.             installed:  _W_o_r_k_S_h_o_p._s_w._l_i_n_k_s.

  102.           +o You must have ToolTalk, release 1.2.1 or higher

  138.        WorkShop Pro MPF is configured with an app-defaults file
  139.        (located in /_u_s_r/_W_o_r_k_S_h_o_p_M_P_F/_u_s_r/_l_i_b/_X_1_1/_a_p_p-_d_e_f_a_u_l_t_s/_C_v_p_a_v,
  140.        with a link from /_u_s_r/_l_i_b/_X_1_1/_a_p_p-_d_e_f_a_u_l_t_s to it). Under
  141.        normal circumstances, you do not have to modify this file.
  142.        You may add any options you wish to your own ._X_d_e_f_a_u_l_t_s

  149.        Because WorkShop Pro MPF is rather large and space under
  150.        /_u_s_r is usually tight, WorkShop Pro MPF uses an installation
  151.        architecture that makes it easy to relocate the bulk of the
  152.        installed files to directories that have extra space.  All
  153.        the WorkShop Pro MPF files (except the man pages, release
  154.        notes, and the demos) are installed under the directory
  155.        /_u_s_r/_W_o_r_k_S_h_o_p_M_P_F, then those files are linked back to the
  156.        appropriate spots under /_u_s_r. Therefore if you do not have
  157.        enough disk space on /_u_s_r to install the tools, you can
  158.        install them on an auxiliary disk and link them back to /_u_s_r
  159.        automatically.  Here is one example of appropriate commands
  160.        for installing on a disk named /_d_i_s_k_3 from a locally mounted
  161.        CDROM drive (execute as _r_o_o_t):

  168.        These commands link the /_u_s_r/_W_o_r_k_S_h_o_p_M_P_F directory to the
  169.        /_d_i_s_k_3 disk, where there is enough space to hold the files
  170.        The files are then installed on /_d_i_s_k_3 and the
  171.        _W_o_r_k_S_h_o_p_M_P_F._s_w._l_i_n_k_s subsystem installs links pointing to
  172.        those files from /_u_s_r.

  174.        In another example, if you want to install WorkShop Pro MPF
  175.        on a file server and have users mount the software from
  176.        there, first install the software on the server as usual:
